Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts is the official partner to the National Park Service
in providing concert and performance programming within the Park. As a nonprofit organization, Wolf Trap Foundation is dedicated to creating excellent performing arts experiences for the enrichment, education, and enjoyment of diverse audiences.

Wolf Trap presents artists as diverse as the greater Washington, DC community. This includes legends and top artists from every genre—classical, pop, rock, jazz, opera, folk, and dance.
Partnership with the National Park Service
The private, non-profit Wolf Trap Foundation and the public National Park Service are partners in a unique marriage of arts and nature. NPS manages the pristine 117-acre park, as well as the grounds and building patrons enjoy when they come to see performances at the Filene Center. The Foundation oversees programming.
Visionary founder and rich history
In 1966, Catherine Filene Shouse donated the land, and funds to build the Filene Center, to the U.S. government. Congress designated Wolf Trap Farm as Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. It has lived up to Shouse’s vision for nearly 50 years.
Nationwide education programs
Wolf Trap Foundation reaches 78K+ children, families, care-givers, and teachers nationwide through its acclaimed arts education programs. In addition, its opera company is a premier residency program for young singers from across the U.S.
