Wolf Trap is working with Levine Music to make their virtual fall lessons available to our patrons so they can stay engaged with music while we can’t be together in person.
The creativity, innovation and technology of Levine Music's talented faculty have allowed students not to miss a beat as they continue to share music virtually. Levine’s (virtual) doors are always open to new students!
Students of all ages, interests, and skill levels receive outstanding music instruction from professional faculty-artists. This fall Levine has programs and events for the whole family, including:
- Private lessons in 22 instruments and voice
- Group classes
- Music Therapy
- Music Theatre
Music has, and always will, serve as one of the greatest engines of social life. Levine students and families can enjoy the community created through making music together, virtually.

Ari Hest has produced 7 studio albums, had his music featured on several primetime TV shows, and scored an award-winning film. Recently, he led a class at Wolf Trap for budding songwriters, breaking down what makes a good pop tune and helping participants write their own.
Aspen Santa Fe Ballet performs regularly at the nation’s most prestigious dance venues. In 2013, its Executive Director led a modern ballet class at Wolf Trap. Along with some basic techniques, he showed students how they combine the beauty of ballet with their signature, edgy style.
Wolf Trap’s private voice, piano, and guitar instructors have taught students how to hone their techniques and enhance their musicality. And these instructors don’t just know how to teach—each is an accomplished performer in his or her own right. With one-on-one sessions in state-of-the-art practice rooms, these classes help prepare students for everything from karaoke to auditions.
Djembe drumming is one of the most prominent traditions of West Africa. Since 1998, Wolf Trap Master Teaching Artist Kofi Dennis has guided students in the art of presenting music, dance, and storytelling. In his African drumming class, students learn the rhythmic patterns, phrases, and techniques of this rich, musical tradition.
