Fountains of Wayne’s catalogue of brilliantly written, catchy songs earned the band comparisons to the most hallowed names in pop music. While their first two albums caught the attention of critics and fans alike, it was the release of their third album, Welcome Interstate Managers (2003), and its massive hit single “Stacy’s Mom,” that catapulted Fountains of Wayne to the top of the charts. BandHouse Gigs brings together the best talent in the DC area—including Naked Blue, Cal Everett, David Kitchen, Todd Wright, Ryan Wright, and more—to pay tribute to Fountains of Wayne’s music and band member Adam Schlesinger, who passed away from COVID on April 1, 2020.
